All German companies employing at least 50 staff are invited to take part in a new round of the »Great Place to Work« competition which honours »Germany´s best employers« and is organized each year by the Great Place to Work Institute Germany in co-operation with the psychonomics AG research institute. Application deadline is September 30th 2006.
At the beginning of next year, the 100 best employers will be awarded the »Germany´s best employers in 2007« hallmark and published by the Capital business magazine. Furthermore, the top prize winners will also take part in the European »Europe´s best employers in 2007« competition which will take part in 15 European countries.
What is evaluated during the competition is the quality of the employer. Evaluation is based on the questionning of employees as well as an examination of initiatives and measures taken in the personnel department. Important aspects are the credibility of the management, appreciation and fairness against staff, identification of staff with their work as well as the quality of co-operation within the company.
Partners in the project are the Initiative Neue Qualität der Arbeit initiative (INQA) by the Federal Ministry of work and social affairs, the Capital business magazine as media partner as well as the Asstel insurance group as sponsor.
