Products from companies in the South benefit from better federal state rating

According to the press agency pressetext the benchmark study for the determination of the efficiency of the German economy is now available. This study is carried out each year by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Qualität (DGQ), in Frankfurt in co-operation with the Mainzer Forum Marktforschung.

Among the interviewed are decision makers in German companies. Answering to the question: “Which federal state do you first associate with top quality?” most decision makers again stated this year the federal state of Bavaria (65 percent of votes). Second came Baden-Württemberg with 52 percent. At quite a large distance followed North Rhine-Westphalia with 23 percent of the votes. Among the new federal states Saxony holds the leadership with 12 percent of the votes. The quality image of a federal state is a “soft” factor from which in particular small hightech companies benefit in two ways. Not only does the rating of a federal state have an influence on the reputation of the products made by companies there, but is also increases the appeal of the companies to highly qualified employees. The study can be ordered online. GERMAN
