Open source experts sought for

The Heise Zeitschriften Verlag is sending a call for papers to all practical people and experts in the open source community. From today you can apply for giving a talk at the »Open Source Meets Business« convention. This convention of IT and business decision makers is organized by the Heise Zeitschriften publishing house for the second time and will take place from January 24th to 26th 2007 in Nuremberg. Programmers and IT experts working in or with small and medium-sized entities should not miss this opportunity.

The event presents solutions from several fields of activity. In contrast to 2006, where there were only best-pratice talks given by users, this year also representatives of open source projects are invited to apply. In total this year´s extended convention will see more than 90 presentations.

Talk suggestions for the following subject areas are looked for: collaboration, applications (from ERP over CRM to branch solutions), operating systems, security, middleware, infrastructure, basic services such as data bases, webserver and application server, desktop (from office solutions to complete desktop shells), software development and tools, system management, virtualization (including cluster and grid applications) as well as multimedia.

Talk suggestios should be submitted by August 31st. All information on the call for papers, contacts and details on the convention are available on Open Source Meets Business. GERMAN
