On average companies spend 105 hours annually on paper work required by fiscal legislation

Each year companies in Germany spend about 105 hours on dealing with fiscal issues. Thereof about 40 hours are spent on handling turnover tax issues. However, the time spent on these things in Germany is still considered to be relatively limited. Only in 25 countries you can prepare your tax return quicker than in Germany.
Thus, in Brazil companies spend 2.600 hours each year on tax issues, whereas in Switzerland this figure is only 68 hours.  These findings are the result of the “Paying Taxes – The Global Picture” study by the World Bank and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The study is available for free-of-charge download. GERMAN
