The International Radio Exhibition (IFA) which came to an end in Berlin recently was a huge success for organizers, exhibitors and visitors alike. According to the organizers, there were in total 220.000 German and foreign visitors and participants at this year´s IFA 2008. The order volume reached more than three billion Euros which is more than business and industry expected. The number of exhibitors increased by 10% and that of registered specialist merchants by 24%.
The international character of this global guide fair for consumer electronics and entertainment was impressively underlined by 1245 exhibitors from 63 countries which is 66% of the total number of exhibitors. Expert visitors came from 126 countries which is 33 countries more than in 2007.
