German internet prize goes to Bavaria and Saarland

Three high-tech companies located in Bavaria and the Saarland have won the German Internet Prize 2007: the metaio GmbH from Munich, die e.Consult AG based in Saarbrücken and the GPSoverIP GmbH from Schweinfurt. These three companies were selected for their web-based IT solutions from more than 300 aspirants by an independent jury.

“These companies are the most innovative IT medium-sized entities among many excellent candidates”, said Mr. Heinz Paul Bonn, who is BITKOM deputy chairman, on the occasion of the award ceremony on Tuesday evening in Düsseldorf. The competition, the patron of which is the Federal Minister Michael Glos, is also sponsored by renowned companies. GERMAN
