German managers just in 19th position in terms of net salaries

A global comparison of net salaries of managers shows that Western industrialized countries have lost their leading positions to growth regions such as Russia, Turkey or the Ukraine. According to a study by the Hay Group managment consulting firm Spain (12th), Switzerland (13th), Germany (19th) and Ireland (20th) are the only West European countries which made it among the top 20 in terms of manager salaries.

The top positions are held by managers from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. These countries have the strongest purchasing power worldwide and feature a disposable annual income of 220.000 US dollars on a per capita basis. With a purchasing power of on average 122.427 US dollars Germany is in 19th position. Austria came 23th and has a purchasing power of 112.906 US dollars on a per capita basis.

The Hay Group study shows that manager salaries are nowadays subject to international competition. The complete ranking list as well as additional information on the »World Pay Report« by the Hay Group are available online. GERMAN
